Tegan Noiseux

Tegan Noiseux is a professional harpist and third-generation music educator based in Vancouver. She holds a Master of Music degree and has over 20 years of experience performing and teaching the harp.

Musical Background

Tegan studied harp with Alice Giles and Heidi Lehwalder. Her performance experience includes solo, ensemble, chamber, contemporary, orchestral, and choral music, including work with the Victoria Symphony as second harp and guest principal, and the Victoria Philharmonic Choir.

While completing her Master's degree, Tegan developed a particular interest in Canadian harp repertoire. What began as research for a competition led to an entirely Canadian programme for her Master's recital and ultimately to her decision to continue her musical career in Canada.

Before establishing Vancouver Harp Academy, Tegan taught at Harp Centre Australia, presented workshops at the Canberra Institute of Technology, adjudicated at the Sydney Harp Eisteddfod, and taught masterclasses in both Australia and Canada. Her areas of expertise include Salzedo repertoire and technique, an organic approach to harp playing, and arranging.

Tegan founded Vancouver Harp Academy in 2023 and continues to teach alongside her work as a professional harpist.
